Waterloo – Lutherwood is excited to announce that it has adopted a new treatment approach that is already showing considerable promise amongst its youth at Lutherwood’s Children’s Mental Health Centre.

Lutherwood is proud to announce that with the incredible support of the community, its submission to the AVIVA Community Funds on-line voting competition propelled it to the semi-final round of 100 projects across Canada.

Today Lutherwood hosted its first annual Bridging the Gap conference in the Guelph community. The conference had over 75 new Canadian participants, and approximately 60 employers and expert panelist.

November 2, 2012 - Children's Mental Health is a pillar of RBC's community giving. So they partnered with Lutherwood to produce a five part mini video series to introduce the topic of Children's Mental Health.

October 18, 2012 – Lutherwood is pleased to announce that Scotiabank has donated $10,000 to help sustain Lutherwood’s BizGo program.

Lutherwood is pleased to announce that its innovative BizGo program was recognized in the “Innovations with Special Population” category of the National Youth Employment Innovation Awards at the Futures Youth Employment Conference.

Lutherwood is turning to the community to help it support kids in our community. With the support of Donovan Insurance, Lutherwood entered the National Aviva Community Fund Competition in hopes of receiving a $150,000 to be used toward building a sensory therapy (Snoezelen) room for kids with mental health challenges.

This fall, Lutherwood and the Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council have partnered to present a special screening of the popular documentary Bully.

Lutherwood supports Region of Waterloo Public Health in announcing that September 9th is FASD day and that it is important to remember that there is no safe time, no safe amount and no safe kind of alcohol consumption in pregnancy.

Lutherwood, KidsAbility and the Waterloo Region Crime Prevention Council are presenting an FASD Forum on November 12 at the Bingemans Ballroom at the Bingemans Conference Centre.
