Lutherwood supports Region of Waterloo Public Health in announcing that September 9th is FASD day and that it is important to remember that there is no safe time, no safe amount and no safe kind of alcohol consumption in pregnancy.

Lutherwood, KidsAbility and the Waterloo Region Crime Prevention Council are presenting an FASD Forum on November 12 at the Bingemans Ballroom at the Bingemans Conference Centre.

Lutherwood, in partnership with the Waterloo Region FASD Diagnostic Steering Committee and the Waterloo Region FASD Action Group, as launched a new website with helpful information about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and services available in Waterloo Region.

March 30, 2012, Waterloo – Today Lutherwood announced that it can again start accepting applications for its successful Targeted Initiatives to Older Workers program. TIOW is a joint federal-provincial initiative that provides unemployed workers aged 55 to 64 with support finding employment. Eligible participants receive skills upgrading, financial supports for training and associated costs, and placements with local employers.
