WATERLOO - Today, Lutherwood is hosting 35 children’s mental health leaders from across Canada at its Children’s Mental Health Centre in Waterloo. The group is engaging in the organization’s first national conference - BrainLinks Canada. The symposium-style gathering will explore recent advances in adolescent brain development and mental health research, and look for ways to translate advances such as these into mental health practice across Canada.

On a beautiful, sunny Sunday May 5, a crowd gathered at Lutherwood’s Children’s Mental Health Centre on Benjamin Road in Waterloo to raise money for and awareness of children’s mental health.

Waterloo – For 5 years, Lutherwood has been holding its annual Steps for Kids walk to raise funds to support specialized children's mental health treatment programs. This year, the organization is seeing a significant increase in participation. This Sunday May 5, starting at 8:30, organizers are anticipating up to 400 people (up from about 80 last year) thanks to increased interest from the community and local businesses entering corporate teams.

WATERLOO - Today, Lutherwood’s Children’s Mental Health Centre welcomed nine staff from two new children’s mental health live-in centres in Newfoundland and Labrador for a three-day experiential training opportunity. These centres will be operated by Eastern Health and Central Health; two Regional Health Authorities in the province.
