Skills for Safer Living

Skills for Safer Living

Skills for Safer Living is a 10-week group for youth ages 14-16 who have attempted suicide or struggle with thoughts of suicide and will help participants develop ways to manage associated thoughts and emotions to keep themselves safe.

A parallel information and supportive group for caregivers takes place at the same time and location as the youth group each week.

The purpose of the group is to reduce the intensity, frequency, and duration of suicide related thoughts and behaviour and support caregivers in increasing their understanding and confidence in supporting their youth.
