Mobile Crisis Service (MCS)
Mobile Crisis provides a variety of supports and services that focus on an urgent need for stabilization of youth (up to their 18th birthday) and their families in crisis. It provides a community response to urgent matters but is not meant to replace emergency services.
After assessing needs, our Mobile Crisis Service team works with children, youth and their families to develop a coping/safety plan and help access appropriate community supports and services as needed. Service is provided over a 2-3 week period via telephone support and/or in home/community support.
This service operates free of charge, Monday to Friday (except holidays) from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, for youth and their families living in Waterloo Region.
