2018 Recommended Workplace Award

Waterloo, March 20, 2017 - Morneau Shepell and The Globe and Mail recognized Lutherwood as one of 53 Employee Recommended Workplaces across Canada for 2018. The annual Employee Recommended Workplace Award recognizes excellence in achieving a healthy, engaged and productive workforce and is based entirely on your feedback.

The Employee Recommended Workplace Award recognizes excellence in achieving a healthy, engaged and productive workforce. It is the only award of its kind that is based entirely on feedback from employees. Employees were asked to complete a short confidential survey that includes questions about their physical and mental health, as well as aspects of their work and life – all elements of Total Health that impact employee engagement and productivity.

“Organizations that ensure their employees' health is a top priority see a positive return on productivity, engagement and improved business results,” said Stephen Liptrap, President and CEO, Morneau Shepell. “We are pleased to see these employers being recognized by their employees for their efforts in creating a healthy workplace.”

“While we are really honoured to win the award, what is truly valuable to us is the insight we gain from the Total Health Assessment report,” said Andrea Dunn, Director of Human Resources. “Together with our staff, we will use these results to enhance our Wellness Program and better meet the needs of our staff in the future.”

"New to Canada and without Canadian work experience, I was struggling to get a job and find a place to settle and feed my family. Lutherwood helped me get a food allowance and find a place to live."
