Renovations to our Life Launch program are complete! Thanks to generous donations from our community, the Life Launch space now provides a more comfortable, welcoming home for youth working towards independent living. Funded through donations and the Region of Waterloo, Life Launch supports youth who have accessed Safe Haven Crisis Services and are now working towards independent living. Our staff help them develop life skills and build a supportive network they can always lean on. With brighter kitchens, cozy living rooms, and private bedrooms, this space is a nurturing environment for youth to thrive in the community. #LifeLaunch #SafeHavenYouthServices #StarlingCommunityServices #StarlingHousingServices

It was a beautiful day for our annual Softball Tournament! ⚾ Starling staff and their families came together for a fun-filled day playing baseball and raising funds to give youth in our programs access to recreational activities they might not otherwise have. Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day and June is National Indigenous History Month - a time to celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis across Canada. Join us to paint the beautiful view “across the road” from our Starling (formerly Lutherwood) Children’s Mental Health Centre in North Waterloo, with local artist Debbie Ellis on Saturday June 22nd! No experience is required and beginners are welcome! Each participant will leave with their own painting, ready to take home and frame. Proceeds raised from this fundraiser will support our programs!
