If she wins, she will donate the $5,000 prize to Lutherwood.

About Barbara Arrowsmith-Young

Barbara Arrowsmith-Young is an inspiring woman who created mental exercises that helped her overcome severe learning disabilities, repair her brain and successfully complete graduate school. Her work formed one of the first examples of applied neuroplasticity. She is the Director and Founder of the Arrowsmith School and Arrowsmith Program where she develops brain-training programs for children with learning disabilities. Her inspiring book The Woman Who Changed Her Brain reveals her powerful personal story and serves as powerful hope of a different future for children with learning disabilities.

The Me to We Awards recognize “stars” who are making a difference in their communities at home and abroad. Ms. Arrowsmith-Young has been nominated for her work in transforming the lives of thousands of people with learning disabilities through increasing learning capacities.
