Employment Services Nominated in Guelph Mercury’s Readers’ Choice Award

Guelph – Lutherwood is proud to announce that it has been nominated for the Guelph Mercury Readers’ Choice Awards in the category of Favourite Employment Services.

Each year the Mercury readers nominate their favourite business. This year, Lutherwood’s Guelph office received a nomination. Voting for the award will take place between June 2 and 16, 2012.

“It is an honour to be nominated by the citizens of Guelph,” said Aaron Stauch, Program Manager at Lutherwood’s 30 Wyndham Street North location. “We have a range of employment services and can support youth, adults and new Canadians looking for work. Our diverse programming means we are seeing more people come through our doors to take advantage of these free services.”

Lutherwood, which has been providing employment programs and services in Guelph for more than 15 years, offers job seekers pre-employment preparation, job development assistance, access to training opportunities and government funding. Specific programs include Employment Ontario-funded services in English and French, as well as the Job Search Workshop program for new Canadians. It also offers employers access to government incentives to hire workers.

"I used to blame my circumstances for who I am. Lutherwood helped me realize I have choices and then I became responsible for my life. I would be a different person today if I hadn't gone to Lutherwood and I will always be grateful."
