ACCESS Youth Program Accepting Applicants


WATERLOO, January 4, 2012 - Lutherwood 's ACCESS program is now accepting applications. ACCESS is designed to help individuals with learning and behavioural challenges between the ages of 15 and 30, find and maintain employment.

Funded by Service Canada, ACCESS offers a comprehensive, three-part process that helps people find and maintain employment. Clients are welcome to take part in any of the parts of the Access program, including:

1. Offering workshops that prepare individuals for full- or part-time employment, including:

  • Employer Expectations
  • Resume Development
  • Interview Skills
  • WHMIS and Emergency First Aid Certifications
  • Budgeting
  • Job Search Basics

2. Assisting with job searches and placement with employers

3. On-the-job coaching supports individuals to seek and maintain employment
