Celebrating the Children's Mental Health Transformation

Ontario’s job market had a mixed month in September. The province added 44,700 new full-time jobs, but lost 36,100 part-time jobs, and the unemployment rate rose slightly from 7.7% to 7.9%. 

When children and youth feel anxious in a social environment, they often try to protect themselves from discomfort. One way to do this is through safety behaviours.  

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, 18 children between the ages of 7 and 12 experienced a summer they’ll never forget at Starling’s Day Camp. More than just a break from routine, our camp helped ease the transition from therapeutic care back to community schools, while giving kids the chance to simply be kids.
