“With our strengthening local economy, there are employers in Waterloo Region that are hiring,” said Rebecca Roy, Assistant Director Employment Services. “Our job fair will give job seekers an opportunity to find out what kinds of jobs are opening up, meet employers who are actually hiring and learn about free employment services that can help them secure work.”

Local employers planning to attend include: Grand River Hospital, Teledyne Dalsa, Centra Industries, Fed Ex Ground, Waterloo Regional Police Services, Faithlife Financial, Canadian Red Cross, Sunlife Financial, Dana Canada Corp., Arizona Pizza and Subs, Public Outreach, Alliance of Ontario Food Processors, Home Instead, Family Care Nanny, Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre, McCordick Glove and Safety, Boehmer Box and Boston Pizza.

Media are invited to attend to interview job seekers, employers and Lutherwood’s employment experts.

"My Employment Advisor was surprised; she had no idea I had a hearing loss. But after I told her, she did everything in her power to help me not only get a job, but also get hearing aids. I can't help express how happy I am."
